Kids went to the dentist today. No cavities!
Andlie:
Was nervous and cried on the way in, but immediately got distracted/cheered up when she saw that "Aladdin" was on.
Was really brave and let the tech take x-rays of her teeth. (Probably because the x-ray machine was in a room with "Sully Ully", Mike Wazowski, and Boo.)
Gagged when the tech tried to shove the x-ray panel back into her back molars. Twice.
Lied nicely on the table and let the tech clean her teeth while she watched "Cars 2." (Her butt was only a little clenched.)
Let the dentist look at her teeth.
Listened to the dentist tell her that she "had beautiful teeth."
Told me that her teeth were "slimey" after she got flouride painted on.
Got a Belle toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, and a prize! (She chose a blue lizard.)
Spent the rest of the day flossing her teeth and used the entire box up.
Haze:
Played nicely with the stuffed dog and pointed out all the "ishies" while it was Andlie's turn.
Had a lap exam. (He sat on my lap during his exam.)
Cried the second the dentist came close.
Didn't stop until the dentist took his hands out of his mouth, walked away, and was safely in a Mommy hug. (I think he had had enough of the Latex gloves for the week.)
Got a Pooh toothbrush, toothpase, and a prize! (I picked a horse for him.)
Threw his prize on the floor as a demonstration of rage.
All things considered, it was a pretty successful visit!
