August 19 - Bear Lake Highlights

This morning, we woke up and went straight to the beach to play in the sand & collect seashells.  It was so quiet & peaceful.  Our cute little family were the only ones on the beach.  The only noise I could hear was the waves on the beach.  It was almost magic.  I love my cute family & nature.   

Other Highlights:

• On the way up Logan Canyon: “Why is our car tipping & tipping?”  (I think she was getting car sick.)
• When we got to the top of the mountain: “Why are we all talkin so quiet?”  (I think her ears were plugged.)
• I think Haze got a little car sick too because he stopped talking & kinda gagged a little.
• Haze & Andlie both played in the lake.  Andlie wanted to go out far in the water so Bryan took her. 
• Andlie slept in her sleeping bag (she’d been waiting for a long time) on the floor, Haze in a pack n’ play, and me & Bryan on the bottom bunk.
• Haze just wanted to plop on the ground in the shallow water & splash at the lake.  He would also try to throw rocks like the size of a small bowl & sometimes he succeeded. 
• Haze never wanted to stay still & we spent lots of time chasing him and making sure he didn't fall down hills or in the water.
• Haze was scared of the fan in the shed & woke up pointing to it in the mornings crying.
• Andlie gathered a ton of seashells from the beach.  It was her favorite thing to do.
• The kids didn't go to bed til 11:30 on Friday night, but we got smarter on Saturday night & took them for a drive at bedtime.  Konked them right out.
• Bryan's entire Allen side of the family (except 8 people) were there all day on Saturday.  It was awesome. 
• Andlie skinned both knees and one hand playing with cousins.
• Haze tried to eat sticks.
• Bryan & Andlie got to take a short ride on a jetski thanks to Bryan's uncle.
• Haze was the star of the show & was so cute with everyone & really hammed up his smile & laugh to everyone.  Show off.
• Haze LOVED Bryan's parents dog, Beau.  He would crawl up to him, put his butt in the air & head on the ground, wait for him to lick his ears, and laugh so hard.
• Andlie had fun playing with cousins her age & eating popsicles.
• I didn't wear makeup for two days & it was awesome.
