We went on a train ride today! We totally hyped it up and said it would go way fast and be just like the Polar Express so we were all really excited! We waited in line for an hour and a half to board. And it was cold. Like biting cold. We enjoyed the one hour ride to Salt Lake and then decided that instead of getting out and waiting in line in the freezing cold and snow for another hour and a half to come home, we would just stay on the train and ride back home. So that's what we did.
It was a fun ride and we did go fast a couple times, saw some snow, and enjoyed a few lights. Mommy & Andlie even got to walk around on the train and go potty on the train! Though, Andlie wasn't going to be completely fooled by us. At one point, she said, "What if some guys jump out and sing songs and give us hot chocolate?!" Too bad I didn't pack some hot chocolate. I totally would've done that.
My kids love riding on the train! If it was up to Pearl we'd commute by train and bus every day!
